MMFC Events 2008
26.4.08 - Event One Report - CLIMB and GLIDE.
Firstly, once again i'd like to thank all the members who attended this event at Egerton, despite blustery conditions early in the afternoon, everyone had a go and I think a lot of fun was had, with minimal casualties!
The rules were as follows:
Climb for 30 seconds. Shut off engine completely and glide as long as possible. Zero points if plane lands off active runway. Zero points if plane flips over on landing. Zero points if plane lands with engine still running.
We were lucky to have possibly the best day of the year so far weather wise, with blue skies it was also very warm indeed. It was refreshing to see some other faces in the event rather than the 'usual suspects' and with about 20 people in attendance it's certainly the busiest Egerton has been all year.
Congratulations to the winning members, and I look forward to seeing some of you heli-heads at the next event being held at Linton on 31st May!
